The Father of Nation was not the son of a Wadera, Chaudhry or some industrialist. He belonged to a middle class family. He was not like typical desi Indians who thought of themselves as some white-skinned Englishmen after returning from Britain. He was not influenced by the white man supremacy rather he competed him with his education, skills and personality. With his qualification and skills he turned to be a very rich lawyer with grand houses in London, Mumbai and Delhi. Lord Reading offered him with knighthood but he refused saying he would rather be plain Mr Jinnah. His own name was a matter of pride for him, the title of ‘sir’ meant nothing to him.
Mountbatten, Nehru equally despised Jinnah because he didn’t get trapped by the cunning of Congress and treachery of British.
Pakistan became a reality because of God’s will through one man alone, and he was none but Jinnah.
The moth eaten, truncated Pakistan as Jinnah called it due to evil designs of British and Hindu Congress, wasn’t a viable state and both Brits and Indians believed it wouldn’t survive and would come back to the fold of India, but one man who was dying of tuberculosis, who had left all his property in India, was working hard to make sure Pakistan survived. Today whatever good we have we owe this to God and after Him we owe this to Jinnah!
