Happiest Country

Since I live in Canada I was happy to find out that Canada is the 9th happiest country and we beat United States!!! United States is the 16th happiest country. Pakistan was at the very end of the list meaning it’s not a happy country at all just a little above Iraq. Surprisingly, Denmark is the happiest country.

Also, when it comes to comparing Canadian life with American life. Research shows that Canadians spend more time with friends and family, work less hours than Americans, an average Canadian family is richer than an average American familly, Canadians eat healthier food, and go on vacations more than Americans. I couldn’t believe it when I read the article! and I thought life in Canada was stressful…

Re: Happiest Country

I've been to Canada and I've been to the United States(living here). I do not agree, life is fun out here man. Canada is like Islamabad of Pakistan, if you wana have fun you gotta go to Karachi and Lahore.

:D:D:D

Yes I agree. There's not much to do here in Canada. Except clubbing and if you're not into clubbing then all you can do is go to the movies or out to eat. That's why I was surprised to see that we were still doing better than Americans in many ways. It's not my opinion, there was some research done to compare the two countries. And yes I've heard lots about Pakistan and how much fun you can have there. Can't wait to go.

Re: Happiest Country

YEah? and whats the criteria? wealth? health?

and where did u get those stats... very intresting!!

I’m not exactly sure about the Criteria, not only wealth or health. It was an overall life style comparison. Example who sleeps more hours…Canadians or Americans… My resource is Citynews CityNews: Home but you won’t find this news there anymore. It was there on Canada day July 1st.

Re: Happiest Country

LoL, I'm not suprised at Pakistan not being a happy country. Where was UK on the list? Do you remember? :)

Re: Happiest Country

no surprise that dentmark is the happiest cuntry in the world. simply bcos they are good at pissing off others [terrorist muhammad cartoons?..]…i would like to know how much of their so-called happiness will wash down the drain if someone tried to badmouth their beloved prophet holocaust…? :chai:

Re: Happiest Country

Denmark is indeed a very gay country, so is Canada! Before the danes and the cannucks blow me up, I am just using gay as it should be!

*–adjective *1.having or showing a merry, lively mood: *gay spirits; gay music. *

Re: Happiest Country

Canada is the world's boring est place ever. i have been there twice and never wanna go back. on the other had i think states is the best place to live. i love it here.

Re: Happiest Country

hehe... but its true. the danes are a very happy crowd.. always cheery and laid back... especially these days with the sun out ... big smile on everyones faces...

canada is a pretty happy country too i think...

Re: Happiest Country

I love visiting Canada, it's such a change from the boring old states.

Re: Happiest Country

Canada is boring, I agree.

This survey on happiness was based on the following two questions:

Taking all things together, would you say you are very happy, rather happy, not very happy, or not at all happy?

All things considered, how satisfied are you with your life as a whole these days?

It is two years old study.

Re: Happiest Country

the problem with this study is that its trying to quantify something that is relative term.. happiness to me is not the same as happiness to you..

so this whole study is flawed and hence worthless.. the happiest country in the world is the country you are living in with your family and friends. Nothing else in this world will make you more happy than being with ones you love. :)

:biggthumb well said.

Re: Happiest Country

haha.. that cracks me up in teh article.. danes are so happy with themselves they are committing suicide :D hehehhehehe
