palkhoon tulay chupayee hay
hay woh ghum kay ansoo.

dil main chupa-e baethi hay
woh pyar ki aarzoo.

                      woh bunsukay na taray 
                      tujh ko kya hay ghumm.

                      kiu ker ti hay upnay dil kay saath
                      woh zulm-o-situm.

kubhee to shub-e-roze ko
milnay aaiyeen gay tujhsay.

kiu intazaar kerti hay
tu un ka itminaan say.

                      yeh dil lagee to sub.
                      yaadain bunjayeen ge.

                      woh chain o sukoon main
                      tujh ko rulain ge.

yeh zandagee aub tari
veranay main bhikain ge.

yeh nigahain aub tari
deevanay ko tursen ge.
