Mappillai, remake of the said film, also features Manisha Koirala. Manisha will be playing the role of Hansika’s mother.
Says an excited Hansika, “It truly has been an experience which I am going to cherish for the rest of my life, to share the same screen space with Manisha Koirala has been amazing. She is so calm and composed and she makes acting look so easy”.
When asked about her playing the role of Madhuri Dixit, she says “I am very excited to be a part of this film, and it is indeed an honour to play the role which was played by Madhuri. She is someone I have always looked up to and she is easily the most talented and the most beautiful actress in our industry.” Who plays the title role of jamai, played by Anil Kapoor in the original, remains to be seen.
