Hanif Abbasi is hardly a respectable character and charges against him may well be true. He is also rumored to be involved in other sordid stuff. But look at the manner of his conviction. Case pending since 2012. Next hearing scheduled for Aug 2. Suddenly orders arrive that the case be heard on a daily basis and judgement is given at 11pm only 3 days before the election. Other accused in the case (Gilani) not bothered before elections. Looks like blatant engineering to help Sheikh Rashid.
