Hand sanitizers last only 2 minutes.

The bottom line: it’s best to wash your hands with soap and water, always. Don’t rely heavily on hand sanitizers, much less the ones that are less than 60% alcohol.

Never used it..preferred the traditional hand washing to it :D

True........and most just diminish the normal flora of bacteria on your hands

ive never liked them... the thought of rubbing germs well into your hands.. shudder.

i like to wash them off thank you very much.

I live on hand sanitizers.. I have them everywhere.. they don't last for long but they kill the germs and I am talking about the ones with alcohol content of 60% and above only!

What I keep telling people is it's not just soap n water or the sanitizer but the vigorous rubbing for at least 20 secs that kills the germs so if you are just wetting your hand with water, it does nothing.. it's all in the friction that comes from rubbing!

I use hand sanitiser whenever I don't have the option of washing my hands. I don't think it's a bad thing to use atleast it's better than not doing anything at all against the germs .

The ones that are 60% or more alcohol, is it safe to squirt them into your water bottle?

But yes, truly there is no better way of getting your hands clean than soap and water!

Hand sanitisers ARE QUITE BAD!

They remove the GOOD stuff from your hands leaving you more vulnerable!!

I carry one with me but ONLY use it when there is no soap/water around.

Its a good temporary fix until you can get to soap and water.

All alcohols except ethanol are toxic and lead to blindness and death. But I have no idea if hand sanitizers contain enough alcohol to be actually harmful...
