I came across a site selling sarees with elaborate hand-embroidery…I can’t say I’d wear all of them (they’re way too busy for my taste), but the work on some of them is pretty interesting:
Lucknowi chikan work:
The entire colored part of this saree is super intricate Kashmiri resham work on a black base. I can’t decide if its tacky or not without seeing it in person, but the kaarigari is definitely amazing (and pricey…this is a $2,100 saree):
Another Kashmiri saree:
Suit fabric with full gara embroidery (traditional Chinese-inspired Parsi hand embroidery):
i think they work on everyone! the way you wear your dupatta is so versatile- it can be sexy if you've got the figure for it, you can choose to cover yourself up more if if want to, even preggo ladies in my fam tie sari's on if its a dressy occasion. its much more flattering than wearing a shapeless tent-style shalwar kameez.

Lol! True abt the tent style shalwar kameez.
That's what I meant to ask. What is an ideal figure to wear a saree? Like how some people say that Chooridaar Pajamas usually look better on girls with fleshy legs how does it goes for sarees?
