I haven't read the whole thread but just jumping in based on this comment of yours my dear vulcan brother. There is an element of liking involved because there were more than two parties competing for elections. The majority of the vote bank went to PPP because the nation chose so and not out of being fed up of Musharraf. How do explain the votes picked up by PML-N and other parties. Everyone votes for the political party they find more affinity with. The vote bank would reflect people think more along the lines of what the PPP leaders project.
Yes, and if you recall, PPP and PMLN both projected an anti-dictatorial image. Thats what got them votes. Assuming Musharraf held fair elections in 2002, what happened to the PPP's voting affinity back then? lol
Also, PPP seems to have taken a u-turn against most of what it promised before the elections, and according to zard-ari its not quran or hadis so he can go back on his words.
^well media is a watch dog
and its his job to pin point negative
Not only negative. Media is primarily information dissemination. It should not bias itself by disseminating only information which criticizes the government. A proper ideal media has to be neutral and unbiased.

Yes I agree they had a combined agenda. Politics is prone to many farces. People did not have much of an issue with the Dictator until only in the last year in his tenure. So again, its not the dictatorship that was disliked by people but certain action of his became quite unpopular and built up public opinion against him. Our nation has no liking of disliking, incase you haven't figured this out yet. They simply dance to the tune of change whether it carries benefot for them or not. Their likings or dislikings are short-lived. Look at how public doesn't like the democratically elected Zardari. The fruits of the democratic liking. As I said, they have no likes or dislikes and they judge the whole process or system based on the invidual actions of people and their opinion of the systrem changes with the arrival and departure of the people in it. Our nation is mindless to be honest with no understanding of what it is they want or how to be.

I dont blame democracy for Qadaari, I blame the NRO. This is what laws are for, keeping criminals out of the electoral system, but if certain people 'bypass' these laws, you cant blame democracy or the people.

If the awam could move to oust the Dictator as per your say then they could have done the same to prevent crooks from particpating again.
Usr bhai, I have high hopes that in the next elections, they will make a more refined vote.
Awam will again select crooks like zardari, NS and altaf bhai. They will keep on doing this till somehow we get rid of wadairas chaudhrys and bhais coz they stop awam from getting education and education is the only hope!
So hes not, so what seems to be the problem then? I would do the same thing if I find out that the army is carrying out a rag tag operation where nothings been done really. Keep in mind the money that we spend on this army, and if they dont do their jobs properly, there will be many hamid mirs in future criticizing them.
Its not about army its about the country & GEO people are harming the interest of Pakistan.

I dont see it that way, from what it looks like the operation is an excuse and they are'nt doing what is really needed. This is why we need the media to tell us exactly whats going on.
