Whilst I'm glad at least one country is backing democracy in Palestine, bear in mind that this is nothing other than Russia seizing a chance to grab regional influence from the USA; part of Putin's ongoing efforts to restore the global influence Russia lost when the USSR imploded.
Other states will follow Russia in talking to Hamas, because they have been democratically elected in a free election. Hamas will stick to it's core principles i.e. Israeli withdrawal from all territories occupied in 1967, before talks with Israel.
