that Khan was absolutely justified in asking for rigging investigations and getting electoral reforms implemented..
and yes the govt ignored his demands first but when the govt completely gave up under pressure and agreed to his demands..when army COAS got involved for mediation, when the whole media was focused on dharna and its outcome, when the court was paying attention… that was the best time for Ik to agree to forming a juidical commission for rigging invetsgation…
and if that commission had declared rigging, nawaz and PMLN had no choice but to resign and new elections were imminent…COAS could be the zamin…he was willing to mediate himself.

and I totally agree with Rauf on this too. In fact I am saying this from last 2-3 weeks now that Imran has missed the bus. He lacks right timing needed in political leaders to make decisions.

i guess PTIans did not bother reading the column.....yes IK does not trust NS but that is exactly the point that Rauf is trying to explain.. that given the dharna and all the pressure it created there was no way NS could haves simply backtracked on judicial commission..COAS himself offered to mediate. why the hell COAS was meeting Imran, TUQ and PM? to eat mathai and have a cup of tea?

Can we have a different perspective...
so far, all we have is IK's blame that there is Massive rigging in the elections... yes other parties also have concerns but none of them have said it was massive, nor the independent observers neither any serious note of rigging was issued/raised by the polling agents of any party.. ( polling agent of the particular party signs the result of that particular polling station and then the result is forwarded to the main station of particular constituency)... so here is what may have been the case.
PTI knew that there is no such thing as Mass-Level rigging, but with the media and with all that hype, it managed to create a perception that there is massive rigging and when everyone got serious, they backed out assuming that in DOODH ka DOODH situation they'll be laughing stock of the political arena, which already was not taking them seriously...
otherwise, which sane person could have refused such a guarantor...
if not above, then London-Conspiracy against the State of Pakistan is true... because getting the rigging investigated never seem to be the objective of IK and his Dharna , yes it can be called a tool but certainly not an objective.

No , he hasnt lost any chances, in my opinion. In a country where the police is compromised, judiciary and important judges are compromised, who can be trusted?
Khan has stood up against a system not just against a man. That system is fighting its level best to get Khan to kneel down. Frankly speaking, if khan had accepted anything at that point, I as a supporter of Truth and justice would have felt extremely extremely let down by him.
But he has proven his worth and stood tall. No second chances for the liars, be it the govt, the police, the judiciary, the army who ever .. they all have to go if justice is ever to come forth. I hope Khan continues and with this sheer will power of him and his supporters we will continue to see the change we are all seeking in this country.

in business world such statement will be equivalent to a classic strategic marketing exercise with a nice PowerPoint takeaway with no concrete plan to show how will it translate into a meaningful commercial execution and monetization opportunity...
whereas what we are proposing has some meaningful end to it one way or the other .... and if the counter-logic is that judges, army everyone is corrupt and that we cant trust anyone then i am sorry there is no end to this perpetual madness except anarchy...
Imra khan come down from this so called moral pedestal where you have placed yourself so conveniently .... and work with the stakeholders to resolve issues...do not run away from the issues. This is my last warning to you.

Anyway, Rauf Kalsra has always been a PPP supporter and still has soft corner for them despite criticising Zardari and yes he doesn't criticise Imran Khan with an agenda so his suggestions and argument should be taken seriously. I may not agree with Imran's approach either but unfortunately this seems to be the only way to get things done in Pakistan under the grip of powerful scammers like Sharifs and Zardaris.

By the way Rauf Klasra also said that Sharifs hide behind this "Democracy ko khatra hai" kind of excuses and their tactics are the main threat to democracy than any of the dharnas. (This while commenting on Mr Sharif Nawazing Attorney General with a brand new Mercedes and staying in a top end hotel with Obama at tax payer's expense).

That's actually a big problem, my heart says Imran should not have ever get involved in this dharna business but when you think about it, it's almost impossible to trust someone like Nawaz who would NEVER EVER let any kind of investigations to go ahead without any intervention.

I am a bit puzzled, why no one in the media or the Corrupt Govt of The Islamic Republic of Pakistan made any issue about Imran Khan declaring to all His followers not to pay Taxes!
so it seems that it is fashionable not to pay any Taxes, then boast about it, No wonder nothing works when people only pay lip service when it comes to Taxes.
and Govt does not have funds to educate the masses or prosecute Tax evaders, so masses end up being educated in Private schools and Madaris. that is why we get such a divide in Pakistani Society!
