Hamaray zamaanay mein...

Re: Hamaray zamaanay mein…

I grew up in saudia also but I guess being a girl my experience is different then yours.
I remember when we were vacationing in pakistan and my mom use to threaten us to come back home before maghreb prayers, now my mom forces my youngest brother who is in his early teens to get out to get some fresh air and he’s always stuck to his PS3 :smack:

Thats why they say the past is history, the future is unknown, the gift to all of us is the here and now, thats why it is called the present.

Re: Hamaray zamaanay mein...

Growing up in the 70s in desiland was a blast. Less population, less pollution, more spontaneous games, football in rainy season, cricket and hockey in other seasons. And other games such as dabba eyes spies, saliya, goti, gilly danda - where piddhi was highly dreaded. Summer holidays spent playing cricket matches between housing colonies and other neighborhodd teams. Some teams off the street - they were poor kids - but were rough and tough - would be ragging the batsman - ey battery - kithna dikhta hai etc.

More innocent times. People would come over and play cards during summer holidays also - and word building games - the colony "gurkha" watchman was like a buddy - he would also hang with us and shootthe breeze durng the lazy summer afternoons - where we kids would be sitting under a tree and be upto no good - just wasting our time talking nonsense.
