Halloween

Re: Halloween

What it is right now it’s American. there are a lot of Christians who don’t celebrate it, but how it is now and how it was before it’s different. It’s just kids/adults dressing up and people giving out candy.

It’s your personal choice. If you want to do it then do it. If you don’t want to then don’t.

I personally don’t celebrate Halloween because I’m not American. I don’t see the point :stuck_out_tongue:

Re: Halloween

I respect people’s personal choices but I’m not talking about the personal choice…from Abrahamic religions’ perspective one cannot celebrate a holiday that has originated from other religion. Yeah it’s fun, it’s cute American cultural practice as propagated by the occult media but you can’t make the origin disappear.

Re: Halloween

That’s fine, but I hope you are not one of those people who push their belief onto others. One could say that Islam/Christianity/Judaism and any other religions are just like Scientology. In that they are cults.

No matter the routes of what everything is… and many of the things we do and say have ancient religion/belief system in it mind you. We can’t drag them all up to modern times because it’s different. The essence is not there. The meaning is lost. It’s just one of those cultural celebrations that defines America.

Re: Halloween

Well yeah you’re right, the meaning is lost…for majority.
But people who choose not to celebrate it haven’t stopped paying attention to the meaning of Halloween symbolism. Some people are simply unaware of the meaning. Some people know the meaning but choose to ignore it.

Re: Halloween

Well, knowing how things are going by the time I have kids everyone will be celebrating Halloween in the western world and there would be no meaning to it whats so ever. I celebrated Halloween when I was a kid. My mother used to make my costume and I will do it for my children too.
It’s fun and creative

The bolder part: Perhaps I didn’t convey my message properly in the previous post. The meaning is lost only to those who are either unaware of it or those who are aware but choose to ignore it. The meaning was there at the very first foundations and will always be there whether we choose to acknowledge it or not.
