Halloween is a pagan festival, therefore incorporating it into your wedding would be very un-islamic to be honest and to some extent take away the barakat.....i know we have other un-islamic things going on at weddings these days but i dont see why a Halloween theme for a pakistani wedding would be in anyway kool! :D
i think its the worst theme anyone can go for for a wedding. A wedding is about love, romance, union of two people and of course for Muslims fulfilling half your deen.
even for non Muslims halloween doesn't represent anything good!! Its giving satan a party in his honour!!!
As far as the date is concerned - who cares - i would opt for it if it worked for me.
I don't even agree with celebrating or partaking in anything halloweeny but that's a separate issue...
I think a good amount of your guests may have issues with that
I don't understand this. If I'm paying for my wedding why would I care what problems/issues the guests have with MY theme? The only people I'd really care about taking issue with this are maybe my parents and inlaws and fiance.
People really put too much onus on what others think.
I personally like the idea of this theme. Would I do it? No... Only because I want a very classic wedding... something I can look back and not think what the eff was I thinking??? LOL
Well then if its YOUR wedding YOUR theme and YOUR this and that...then keep it all about YOURSELF. Don't invite others. I don't understand this, you invite people and at the same time you feel really proud and mighty about not give a damn about them. Unfortunately, such arrogance is really taking over and people are simply forgetting the basics of being good, appreciated hosts and guests.

I can invite them... But they don't have to show up. I'm not holding a gun to anyone's head.
only if they aren’t any shades of orange, and no tacky halloween decorations either. i’d prefer to do the goth-chic thing- black dresses, possibly black or very dark maroon velvet, crystal, etc.

I agree with you...I would love to go to a Halloween themed wedding...it sounds like fun...all i'm saying is some people may be bothered about their guests being bothered.

This. All that orange/Halloween stuff made it look like a themed birthday party.
