my kids don’t care - they just want to runa round and collect candy. They don’t even eat it. … it’s the other kids that might say “omg your mom is so cheap” and that thought flusering in their heads that I am worried about.

And it is going to hurt you in which way ? It will only hurt your bank account if you care about what other kids are going to tell my kids.
