Does anyone know of decent halal restaurants in and around Paris - good food that doesn’t break the bank. I’d prefer Pakistani/Middle Eastern or North African cuisine (no oriental restaurants).
@maroush: Do you have any suggestions?

Re: Halal Restaurants in Paris
Ok…
Restaurant: La Palme
Location: Avenue de la Porte des Poissonniers, 75018
They do a very nice fillet steak …and i liked their foie gras with fig jam. The restaurant/lounge itself is nicely decorated…lovely mood lighting…quick service and friendly waiters…nice atmosphere overall.
Restaurant: Saidoune
Location: 35 rue Legendre, 75017
Yummy Lebanese food…in fact this is one of my favourite Lebanese places in Paris. Generous portions and good value for money. You have to get the mezze.
Restaurant: Le Jumeyrah
Location: 101 rue Saint Maur, 75011
French cuisine…if you’re into veal, i’d say give it a try over here…it’s melt in the mouth deliciousness!
Restaurant: Platinum Cafe
Location: 235 Avenue du President Wilson, 93200
Modern lounge-y atmosphere. Love their chicken and cumin ravioli, duck breast and crispy shrimp…and their desserts are to die for…get more than one!
Restaurant: L’Arganier
Location: 19 rue Sainte Croix de la Bretonnerie, 75004
Moroccan cuisine. Try the briouats, mechoui, tagines, chebakia…and if you go at the right time, there’ll be belly dancers there ![]()
Restaurant: Jaipur Cafe
Location: 15-17, rue des Messegeries, 75010
You can opt for the set menu option over here. If you don’t tell them how spicy you like your food, it’ll be pretty bland, so tell them to turn the spice up a notch or two! Love the Punjabi lamb and make sure you try their kulfi.
Restaurant: Le Gastronome
Location: 45 rue des Trois Brones, 75011
Scallops, lamb and polenta and prawn risotto are yummy…and make sure you get the chocolate fondant!
Another one that i haven’t had the chance to try yet is L’Averroes (41 Boulevard Pasteur 95210), as it just recently opened. Maybe you can give us a review for that ![]()
