I have been wondering for a long time that there are almost no halal investment avenues for muslims to invest back home in pakistan. Seems like a system has been developed both abroad and in pakistan which encourages one to invest in haram things.
For example, living in Pakistan, if someone has a decent amout of cash, the safest and “best” investment for him would be to keep it in a bank and get the interest per month. Safe investment, and great earnings, only that it is haram.
Other than that, investing in real estate or any other business in Pakistan is quite dangerous. Soon you get noticed and the vultures would jump at you to either defraud you, or kidnap you or something equally horrible. Now I know that alot of people would say that they have had good business in pakistan themselves or know lots of people who have, but a majority of these are people with strong links and loads of cash to buy out of any problem. Lets not forget that we are talking about a place where companies like Taj company ran away with people’s money and where qabza mafia is very real and scary.
Investing anything online is also haram in most cases. Considering investing in forex online ? thats haram too. The same goes for gold investment online.
My main aim in writing this thread was to get a feedback or ideas that people living in pakistan could use. Perhaps an online halal investment avenue ?
Online avenue is always risky....its better to deal with a physical on ground institution.....
islamic investment in pakistan DOES have avenues.......there are quite a few islamic mutual funds, income funds, other investmend funds.........and investment would be relatively safe......so they are a stable avenue if u choose to invest in reputed funds
There are several aseet management companies that offer you mutual funds according to your needs. These vary from islamic to conventionals and from low risk to high risk and from low returns to high returns. There are 2 best investment companies that offer Islamic investment opportunities , one is UBL Fund Managers and other is Al-Meezan investments.
