Re: Halal food and dishes
Peace sarad,
In the book of the poeple of book, the pork is 'haraam'. Do you think your neighbor eat pork?
I never asked but I suppose so.
Even some Muslims are unaware or unsure of washing a dish 3 or 7 times, so it's less likely that that non-Muslim neighbor would know to wash a dish 3/7 times......
If someone gives you something that is halal or vegetarian, what would be a bigger sin? to waste food and throw it away and possibly offend the person? or to eat it, knowing that the ingredients are halal/permissible to eat?
As TLK said, the dishwasher would wash 3 times so I think the pan would have been washed 3 times.
and that is exactly what I am wondering. They know we are muslims so if they give us dessert, vegetarian or something halal (non-zabiha though), can we eat it since they are christians and I assume they would have washed their dishes.
I do not want to say to them, "Please dont give me any food because ......" Would that not create a bad impression of muslims with them.
I also do not like to throw away food.
I ll make a new thread I think.
