Assalamu Aleykum,
This is my very first post here 
I hope to get som ideas about entrance song or nasheed. I don’t want to have instrumental music in my wedding which is happening in february 2012, inshaAllah. I actually want to have some indian/paki song without instruments if they exist :S My last option would be a nasheed but i think it doesn’t suit the entrance as islamic songs is usually about topic which have nothing to do with the wedding.. Confused. Can anyone help me out?

Well, there's that Zain Bhikha song...just search for "Zain Bhikha The Wedding Song" in youtube. My friend who doesn't listen to music had that for her wedding and it was quite sweet.
Have you considered having live instrumentals? Like dhols and a singer or something?

No i won't have instrumental music as i don't listen to music. I just want to have songs without instruments.

^^ bollywood instrumental be ok? u can get loads in flute and piano version just search on youtube....i know Jashn-e-bahara from jodha akbar is one (i was thinking to have it played)

Imran Dahya has some nice nasheeds. They're a spin-off from bollywood songs, but they're nice and have an Islamic touch to them. Do a search for them on Youtube.

My friend played this nasheed on her wedding entrance and it was really beautiful and calming

oops...i meant like dhol and tablas and stuff, not flutes or any sort of string instrument. A few dhol players and a good ghazal singer can make for a good entrance. I've seen that done as well.

Actually the real issue is that i don't listen to music because of religious issues BUT if you have any halal songs to reccomend the go on. Thank u all for replies so far. I want to play nasheed/song in urdu...
