Halal chicken Breast or is it?

Like most people, I enjoy eating out. There are some good desi restaurants in the uk but in recent times, it has come to light in a big way that the chicken breast used in nearly all restaurants and takeaways in shipped in from places like Holland. Most of this stuff is processed and pumped with god knows what. A recent BBC documentary found traces of beef and pork in such chicken breast. The boxes are stamped HALAL but such reports cast doubt on not only its ‘halal-ness’ but whether or not it should be still called real chicken.

The boxed stuff is dirt cheap and I can see why businesses opt to use it - they simply couldnt afford to use fresh chicken. Most of the so called Indian restaurants here are actually Bangladeshi owned (90%+). I have some bangladeshi mates and occasionally go into their takeaway kitchens, I note that they have a staff curry for themselves - they will not eat what they serve which tells you a lot about their food.

Ive got to the point where I find it hard to want to eat such meat even though I love chicken. I don’t like red meat so thats not an option.

Everything seems to be processed in some way - nothing is natural or real anymore :frusty:
