Did anyone see 1 on 1 with Faiq whatever his last name is on ARY? I caught the last few minutes of it, but he did a nice documentary on halaal meat in the USA, and how much of it is actually not halaal.
He went in and did investigations and questioned people in the halaal meat “industry” to see who really sells halaal meat and who doesn’t, and man were those people mad…
Halal meat seems a big problem although many think its not. Here in UK as well many people working in slaugther houses says that even the Halal meat is not confirmed halal becuz of the electric shock given to the animal before cutting. and becuz of which some even die before cut but the let it go with halal and is often mixed
The butchers get the gonaah for it, so long as something is Halaal to the best of your knowledge you wont be held responsible.
We know our butcher, every so often we get him to slaughter a full sheep (sometimes in front of our eyes) and he skins it, pet-chaakhs it, chops it for us and then we freeze it, same with chickens and teetar-bateyrs, beef we only eat ocassionaly and occasionally we hunt our own rabbits/hares. We don't bother with shops. I can usually tell when meat is non-dhabeeha/halaal because it has a different kind of stench.
I once heard they inject chicken breast with khinzeer/swine tissue to make it more fatter :yukh: That put me of chicken for a while, these people are disguisting in their dietary habits, thank God now we can get our chickens from somebody we know personally.
I guess we all sort of already know that there could be some hera pheri; however, nothing was made clear.
In addition, for some reason it wasn't impressive or very informative. Besides, I didn't like the idea of how the host blamed average customers for not doing thorough research and inquiry. I'd rather have the butchers do thorough research and inquiry than an average individual.
