What’s a good Halaal/Kosher substitute for bacon?
I heard turkey or goose breast is good and I’ve also heard of fake meat made out of soya or something, those of you who have tried the real swiney bacon and the alternatives are they similar or maybe one tastes better??

I think rather than asking for a substitute why dont u try turkey/goose/chicken & pick the one you like. I dont feel appropriate associating anything that can be halal to bacon (or any pig meat) & vice versa.

bacon is just a type of meat like sausage or pepporoni. It can be made of meats other than pork. In Pakistan they have pepperoni and sausage as pizza toppings.

Every other type of swine meat makes me want to puke my guts out, the smell completely turns me off but bacon smells rather tempting...
I could try other white meatrs but I've nothing to compare to, if one of you's lot who may have had both can guide me a bit I'd be greateful.
Come on help me with my Halaal bacon 'n' egg butty people... I worked with a Jewsih guy once and his dietary laws were similar to ours only more stricter, his parents would never allow him bacon at home but he always bought it from the canteen, I was also tempted but never gave in, I wonder if they have Halaal bacon in Heaven like they have wine?

turkey bacon is really good...oh and try boca sausages....its made out of soy and tastes great.

im going to admit here that i think it smells nice.... have never eaten it, i reckon it wont taste as nice as it smells

we get 'macon' here in the muslim butcheries .... smells and tastes too much like the real thing for my liking :p pretty good though.

Why would you want to eat something that is declared haram in Islam? Even if it was made from tofu, to me, bacon is bacon.

In Bahrain you get beef bacon. It tastes so good that it just has to be unhealthy

isn’t turkey bacon made of pork as well?
oh and bacon smells horrible. even though I don’t practice Islam, I still can’t eat any pig. disgusting animal.

Damn, I’ve been missing out.
I hate it when rednecks start their sentences with “I reckon”. It’s okay when a cute southern girl says it though.
