has anyone heard of her bridals. as anyone tried and tested them? meaning bought it and wore it for your shaadi. i wanna know if she is worth it.

One of my friends valima outfit was from Hajra Hayat. It was nice, but she didn't really care too much for it. Hajra Hayat is known for using different, non-traditional types of embellishments, things like tumbled stones and seashells, so if you like that type of stuff, that is her specialty. One caveat is that she is notorious for delivering her clothes late, so if you do order from her, give her a date well in advance of your actual wedding date.

I really like a Gharah from there, a gorgeouse pink and gold one (which i’ve mentioned in another thread) and asked about it and her assistnat quoted me $2335 for it.
Its very pretty and unfortunatley i cant post pics

you need to negotiate with them. don't just accept the first price-- a friend just ordered this pink and gold one from HH too and paid about CAD $1800 for it. its the one toward the end- the dark pink kameez and a lighter gold gharara and the dupatta looks like its gold and pink shaded.

i love it! but it's way too expensive even at $1800 for an engagement. why don't you contact one of the people selling on GS (like prototype) to make you a copy? if you do end up doing that, then don't forget to post pics.

other than the glitter glare of these dresses, do you ladies see what worth they have, or is it only their brand - ing? soemtimes, saying NO to an expense which is clearly, out of bounds, is necessary. no? why not find a more feasible alternate?

wow, i think thats way too much for that particular outfit! u can get an even better one for that price and it doesnt necessarily have to be designer. i rather get more for my money.

I can get it made for 48000rs (pure jamaver fabric for gharara-gharara means PROPER gharara with 16 ‘kali’ and 3.5 yards for each bottom part) 4-5 inch wide kaam on the borders of shirt, gharara and dupatta(no chatta since the original doesnt seem to have it either) but it wont be possible to get it done by 14th feb evenif i start with it today 
my kaarigar needs ATLEAST 3 weeks for the kaam and the tailor wont be able to do it in less than 5 days since it is mostly handwork or the stitching of a gharara-pipings, linings,etc have to be done before doing it on a sewing machine.. courier - 4 days minimum !

^ 3 weeks and 5 days for both of them means if I keep reminding them both that it is really URGENT ! it can be +/- 3-4 days though due to electrcity shortage/load shedding.

maybe, you could go for a churidaar with an anarkali or a shirt in the same color combo and kaam. comprimising might save some time as there'll be no kaam on the churidaar.
minnie, just to let you know, i've ordered 4 outfits from prototype myself. i've not received them yet but i'm sure they'll turn out fine. she's very nice, patient and easy to work with. i feel like i've made a friend in the process.
