The Haram was flooded in Mecca … some parts of the masjid had about a foot of water. Funny thing is, all the arabs started dancing in the street saying “alhumdullilah” cause it never rains in Saudi and the fact that it rained on the last day of Hajj meant (according to them) that everybody’s Hajj was accepted. Don’t know how true that was but it was an extremely difficult day for my family.

well first of all congratulations Mehnaz, May ALLAH accept your prayers and shower HIS blessings on you. Secondly I think you travelled by GULFAIR and I must say that Gulfair causses a lot of stress.

Khair, the rain thing is that ( I know being a resident of Saudi Arabia for 22 years) it does rain here and it does a lot. But to Arabs rain is considered a blessing and its called as a RAHMAH from ALLAH SWT. We always enjoy rain here. But surely this years rain more heavy than usual. My parents went for Hajj as well, I also got worried after knowing what had happened there coz of the heaviest rain for 40 years. But ALHAMDOLILLAH they all returned safely. and offcourse a few ppl have died there, it was really terrible. ALHAMDOLILLAH your father and brother are back sfely as well.
