Re: Hajj: journey to the heart of Islam

if you've been to hajj/umrah you can share your views too and they may include it in the exhibition!

I <3 the British Museum :)

Re: Hajj: journey to the heart of Islam

I went today with my SIL and Phopho. Was really interesting.

Basically it told the whole story of hajj from getting ready, the different routes people used to travel, the actual hajj rituals and then coming home. I liked the little stories about different people going on hajj that you could read. All the textiles were really impressive too. I didn't realise how tall the Kabah actually is.

I would reccomend it, but do make sure you have 2 hours or more so that you are able to read all the information. It was actually quite busy. Maily elderly white people and then Middle Eastern families.

Re: Hajj: journey to the heart of Islam
