Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah,

1. The sunna is to shave or trim the front pubic hair. It is good (hasan) to shave or trim other pubic hair, as it is more hygienic to do so; not doing so is not blameworthy, however. [ref: Tahwawi, Hashiyat al-Maraqi]

2. It is improper and unmanly (but not sinful) for men to trim their chest or leg hair.

^ oh ok, i see where my confusion is coming in - for ladies its sunnah to shave leg hair. For guys its not.

I generalized that to all body parts.

lol . imagine men without hair on their legs… yuck they’d look so feminne…thats one reason i dont liuke the clean shaven look on a man’s face…its so womanly..men should have some facial hair but i dont like the typical just the muchai (moustache) look…

I dont know - I guess it also depends no where you’re culturally conditioned. Here in the states, the clean look is more manly and sophisticated…even facial hair that is well trimmed and shaped like a gotee is preferable.

Beards are soooo looked down upon, especially the mullah style unfortunately.

I like the clean look…but a little stubble is okay like on Sunday mornings

i dont mind a nicely trimmed beard, many men just have a beard they dont take care of it ie clean trimit which is also part of sunnah…

Ok - sorry, here is what I meant. I know about cleanliness, but as a personal choice. It just is not the same in my religion. I think all these things are common sense, I am just surprised that they are also things expected, that’s all.

if all these things are common sense then why do they have about 101 rules for going into whats known as a “clean room”. its where certain drugs are made…and if u read the rules and procedures…it has the same basic things …i.e. cut nails, wash hands and wear certain clothing etc. etc. if it was common sense, then they wouldnt have put these rules down for medical professionals to follow
