So, I’m hoping this would turn into a helpful lil’ ol’ thread that tells you to achieve a hairstyle. And I shall start with this little number:
I know for sure that she’s got a lot of hair, and so do I. And my hair has a tendency to go a bit curly…but can’t get them to stay like that. So what products do I use? I don’t want to go too over the board though.
The first one looks like rollers were used to achieve the look. for Ash's curly one its smaller rollers or maybe a curling tong. Ash's second one looks pretty natural. A hairspray/mousse should help u keep ur curls. Dove's hairspray is not too sticky and works too. My sister has had her hair straightened and she uses it to curl her hair and it really works well.
I don;t know if the shampoos for curly hair work, i think u should try it yourself and see.
jessica alba and ash's straight styles are pretty easy too i think. u need long layers in hair, side part and use a mousse for volume and blowdry flipping the brush outwards. jessica's hair looks like she added some waves after blowdrying with a curling iron. make loose curls and run a hand through them to separate.
My sister got her hair done frm a salon..they curled her hair with CHI straightner..i was so shocked..i mean i've never tried doing that... But then i did and it didnt work! Do NE one of u how to?
Khumar: i think this hairstyle is dun with the help of a curling iron..and hairspray..serum...mousse! Frm what i have experienced no shampoos work for either curling you hair..or straightening them!
umm...anyone know how to make sure the curls keep in your hair, even after like an hour after doing them, or a whole day even? cuz whenever i curl my hair using a curling iron, the curls just die after a while? should i mousse it up before hand?
Same thing happens wid me.. I wanted to curl my hair in my sis's nikkah..and i spend a lot of time on them..but at the last moment they werent even curled NEmore..It was a Hair disaster!..
The really mad curly look isn't in, it just ends up looking like curly sue, and so paindoo....
funky waves and light curls are in , they best suit layered hair, the messier the look the better
never use curling irons, the major hair salons never use curling tongs nowadays..
its way easier to get the same effect with slimline ceramic straightners like GHD'S..
This is how I do it
wash hair preferably the night before and blow dry. Brush straight.
Seperate hair into 2 sections,
start from the front
place however much hair you want curled through the straightener and just twist the straightener while the hair is placed in it. Twist straightener untill hair comes out in a curl. It's that simple.
carry on with small sections, each curl takes about 10 seconds to do and lasts long, remember to fix the curl with hairspray...
ill wave it out tonight and post pics to show you guys how easy it is....
Puchi can you please explain how to twist the straightener the right way to get the hair curled? I'm using a curling iron to curl my hair, but I would love to use my CHI to curl my hair (if I knew how to do it!!!).
Ok, just like you twist a screwdriver, in equal flowing movements depending on how wavy or curly you want it..
For example start from the top of the head, put a small section of hair in between the plates and twist like a screwdriver anti clockwise allowing the hair to feed through the plates...
