i thought their look was a lot more soft and flowy, like with medium to big rollers, in terms of down do's, what with hairspray not being invented yet for those super stiff beehives, and all that.

Mughul style wud be straight back hair in a bun or braid, or a few tendrils left loose. Mughul's didn't have fancy updo's/back-combing and hairsprays.
