my hair wont straighten, i’ve tried everything. The only time it DOES straighten is when i actually go out and get it blow-dried, who has curly hair and what do u do?
This is what I do. My hair is very thick and wavy, nearly curly. My sister has really tight curls so I can tell you what we both do.
After you wash your hair, towel dry your hair and then put a straightening lotion through your hair. I use John Frieda's Straightening Lotion. The amount you use depends on the extent of curliness of your hair. I only have to use a little bit.
Then, you can either let you hair dry naturally or blow dry it until it is completely dry. I then use straight plates made by Conair (I think that is what they are called). It's like a crimper but the plates are flat and straight. The one I have steams your hair while it straightens. It leave your hair looking shiny and naturally straight until, of course, you wash it again.
My sister has to blow-dry her hair straight cause her hair has thicker curls. It is exactly how your hairdresser does it. Take a round brush and just keep blow drying parts of your while you slowly brush it downwards. It takes a long time. If you want it even straighter after that, you can use straight plates once it is straightened this way to make it even more straight.
:)
:) mehnaz's way is similar to mine
mines' the typical wavy sort
I put mousse in it, and then i blow dry it straight. I have to brush it a lot while drying, pulling it straight, then i used the round brush. I use a reguar brush, a comb, and round brush :D
usually that does the job. if i am going out, or some piece is messed up, or i just feel like it-ill do a quick run with a straightner
:)
I have extremely curly hair. So I normally try and keep it less than 3 cm long, because beyond that it starts curling around. When it's dead short, it stays straight.
I have wavy/curly hair. I leave it as it is, or sometimes I add hair frizz controller to the ends and blow-dry or just let it dry naturally. Looks okay, but then I umm, am not someone to be askin bout these things. hehe.
Usually doing it by yourself doesnt last very long, or even getting it done. My friend went to the salon and got the permanent straightner done on her hair, it lasted about 4 months. From the fourth month to the time it gets back to ur original style, its going to look not so hot though.
i haven't tried frizzease yet, so i might try that. I've tried a hair straightener..doesn't work.
