Poker straight is out, time to burn the GHD’s. Apprantley perms are back in, not the 70’s style footballer perm, but nicer ones ( I can’t imagine it either).
Has anyone ever had a perm done? Can you get non permanent ones? Do they ruin your hair?
Lastly, where is Shahreen?

On topic, how long do you reckon the lengh of hair should be in order to get a loose wavy perm thing that will look nice.

Do what I do. Dont brush your hair and let it dry natural. You have to have the attitude for a perm. think carefully!

I do that sometimes too, but it gets frizzy after a while. I would go to professionals if I ever do decide if I want it done.

i got a perm a few yrs back, was kinda funky at first..but when it started to grow it it looked nice. now its half straight half wavy kinda thing so im going on saturday to get another one...............at a better salon. it also does depend on WHO is doing ur hair.
another thing with perms is hair type. my hair is naturally verrrrrrry oily, and when i get my perm its "normal" ..a bit fizzy for a month or so, but thats when products and hair tieing comes in handy :)

Give this a try- leave in conditioner on damp hair, then braid the entire hair in 4 fat braids starting as close to scalp as possible at the way to the ends. Open after an hour and gentle use fingers to loosen some waves. Soft and non frizzy :)
