PCG, I really like that first set of hairstyles. They’re not too short. My hair is also naturally curly and prone to flyaways. Humidity is my enemy and gives me instant frizz. So what I find with my hair is too avoid very short layers. Those last two pics have layers that look cute but any humidity would make your head poof up into a frizzball. I suggest staying with a somewhat medium style. Also razoring is good for thinning out the bulk of hair. It’ll add more shape and texture also. Alot of Japanese hairstyles use razorcutting.
I suggest going for a style that has some longer layers and has versatility to be pulled back in a ponytail or left a little wavy. You don’t want to straighten your hair everyday. A longish shag will have layers but will still look good if left messy and wavy.

PCG rozoring is bad for hair, instead ask a stylist to use scissors to shear off the hair in a similar way which will give a similar effect to your hair but without the damage. Basically a stylist holds the scissors at an angle and shears off the hair in a similar way the effect is shaggy layers which look so sexy. i got that last year and most of the time i would just wash my hair, flip dry and go and it looked fantastic. the only hair product i sparingly use now sometimes is this volumizing mousse by frederik fekkai (sp?) that i got from sephora, and it is divine.

Hey I’ve herd if the bottom of ur hair dries quicker then u hav split ends (or is it the other way around??).. i tink i got split ends and the ladyw ho did my hair said she’d hav to cut off a LOT to get rid of em.. they take longer to dry and get tangled at the bottom and i hate that

What kind of haircuts give volume to your hair without making it too short (nothing shorter than shoulder length)?

rani for volume it is recommeded u get layers. all over layers are even better and look gorgeous when blowdryed. blunt edged hair cuts are easier to maintain and sheared ends give a very sexy tousled look.

Yeah PCG it's really pretty but only if you're going to straighten your hair out. Otherwise those short layers in the front will curl up really short. It will increase volume of hair around your face. So I'd suggest going with longer layers.

i had a hair cut sm tiem back…this is how they look
though mine are straight.. and black in color with sm blond and brownish hari striking..
i duno wat to do with them.. they are very straight… cant make nythign out..hairstyles.. 
nyway’z they go V shape from the back…looks nice
i had stariaght hair…long hair up to my waiste ,..now theya re in layers… still the same lenght..
try this.. im hapyp with em.. i think a lil cruls around them would look gud PCG.

I too want to get a hair cut so bad..i'm so sick and tired of this one.. my hair is long and thick but straight..n i have totally ruined my hair when i got em chemically straightened last year... and ive stop using straigners n irons b/c they too are very harmful..
I really like Tania Shafi's hair style (in JBGMH) ..i looks so awesome on her but i think it'll only look good on long faces..

Yeah, I think I’m going to invest in a str8ner. I am just a little fuzzy about the highlights, because I am sooooo lazy and cheap about maintaining my hair. At least with a str8ner, I prolly will get used to it, I hope, and if the hair is short, the faster it will take me to str8en it in the morning.
Hmm…I’ll think about it for a few more days. I really really like that style.
Brown-eyed beauty, some of those are really really nice. I think I’m going to print out a whole bunch of them and take it to the salon.
