after straightening my hair they become greasy/oily from the top even though i dont put conditioner on the roots or hair serum.
what could i do to prevent this from happeing?

oh yeah sweet..i have the same problem but not right after straightening..couple hours after..i asked my hairstylist about that and she said that i need to use a clarifying shampoo atleast once a week to avoid oily scalp and recommended me NIOxin clarifying shampoo..

now i use it ... and i guess it works!

I have the same problem (oily and need of shampooing almost every day) he told me yesterday buy baby powder and sprinkle little bit on your head and then brush or comb it through it will take or keep the oil out--
don't know if it works but this is a reputable salon...

Dont put baby powder, it only works for people with lighter colored hair.

There is actually a product available which is called Dry Shampoo that you can use between shampoos to absorb oil

just apply the following recipe once every week..& i think u will hv straight hair....
in a blender...take one egg.....add a little coconut/sunflower oil...& a little honey...
apply for abt 2 hrs..& rinse it off....
once a week ...
someone i know tried it...it works.....

my hairs already straight naturally..:)

i straighten my hairs using a hair straightner but only 4 special ocassions..

maybe its the brand of straightner that ur using. I've got GHD and I love them they're absolutely brilliant!
