Hair Removal Dilemma

So I am wondering is facial hair removal cream or threading is better for ur face.. i can’t wax because i break out, so yeah not a good experience… please let me know as i don’t have time to go to the salon to get threaded all the time.. and sometimes things come up and well in an emergency i wanna know if its ok to use facial hair removal cream? please any advice would help.. thank you

Re: Hair Removal Dilemma

I wouldn't reccomend you using facial hair remover its the same as shaving, you will end up with a grey patch in the future. Threading is a better option. I also get break outs after waxing the upper lip but I think it should stop happening after a couple of waxes.... hope this helps

Re: Hair Removal Dilemma

Thank you... Have u seen the videos of MakeupADdikt on you tube.. in one of her videos she has a threader machine... it looks so convenient but i haven't luck finding it online.. any ideas? anyone?

Re: Hair Removal Dilemma

i think they sell one on bloomingdale's website

Re: Hair Removal Dilemma

Of the three methods you mentioned...cream is the worst and threading is the best.

Re: Hair Removal Dilemma

Laser ?:bummer:

Re: Hair Removal Dilemma

bleach?

Re: Hair Removal Dilemma

isn't threading and waxing the same thing , pulling the hair. I thought threading causes a lot of wrinkles. Is there anything you can apply to inhibit hair growth on the face.

I know laser is the best option but I don't think I can get that done while preggers or while nursing so need something to last me all this time.

Re: Hair Removal Dilemma

I found this:

Bloomingdale’s - Karmissie Deluxe Threader Kit customer reviews - product reviews - read top consumer ratings

I think this might be what you are looking for.

You can also try an epilator, you can get that on amazon.

Threading by far is the best method. Waxing will eventually loosen skin and it loose it's elasticity and firmness. Maybe somebody could teach you thread how to do that. Lots of girls thread their upper lips.

Hair Removal Dilemma

Threading is better than hair removal cream which causes pigmentation on some people.

Re: Hair Removal Dilemma

Stay away from facial hair removal creams, they are really bad for your skin. The hairs will get darker and the skin will go patchy.

I definately recommend threading, I use that threading machine and its great! Its so gentle on the skin, I never break out from it. But it does take a little time to get the hang of it. Anyway I’m not sure where you are based but I got mine from argos in the UK

Buy Rio Threading Hair Remover at Argos.co.uk - Your Online Shop for Epilators.

Re: Hair Removal Dilemma

Stay away from putting chemicals on your face that are basically burning the hair on your face so you can wipe it off. =/ It's too risky - threading is the best option. I've waxed once before and causes me to break out terribly. I've been threading my face now and no more breakouts.

Re: Hair Removal Dilemma

Epilate :)

Hair Removal Dilemma

Yeah epilate. You can get small face ones and there SUPER good. I can't thread myself very well. But with an epilater buzzz buzzz and your done!

Re: Hair Removal Dilemma

which one you use? name it.

Re: Hair Removal Dilemma

i ordered the threading machine for my mum,it's not as awesome as it looks like in those videos.it's the best to learn how to thread on your own!honestly!:) nothing can b better

Hair Removal Dilemma

I agree with ^ I have the threader machine by Rio and it's really not as handy as it looks. It is also really awkward to do your full face with it I also ended up ripping half my eyebrow off with it :-(. Threading is the best though for skin

Re: Hair Removal Dilemma

I'm too scared to thread.. I use Veet and have never had any problems..

Re: Hair Removal Dilemma

Threading all the wayyyyyyyyyyy.
