Hair removal cream

Hi all.

Can anybody suggest some hair removal cream that works with super sensitive facial skin? And that’s available in Lahore?

P.S. I’ve used and been disappointed with Veet (both the regular and sensitive skin brands) and Anne French.

Re: Hair removal cream

I wouldnt personally recommend using hair removal creams on your face, especially because your sensitive.

How about trying other methods such as waxing/ threading instead?

Re: Hair removal cream

^ yup, definately never heard of anyone using hair removal creams/lotions on their face. sounds very risky n dangerous to me.

Re: Hair removal cream

if you use hair removing creams on your face
they will come thicker and darker back

Re: Hair removal cream

haww, please don't use that stuff on your face or ANYWHERE, infact. this neighbor aunty of ours burnt her upper lip area from using Veet. These removing creams darken the areas so much.

Re: Hair removal cream

I agree. Don't use cream for your face. It may be a quick fix solution but the maintenance and the aftermath will not be worth it.

Use Jolen. You can get it for sensitive skin too. Do a patch test before you apply it properly.

Re: Hair removal cream

i think u shouldn't use hair removing cream on face because then u will get thick hair on ur face. that's why u shouldn't use it.

Re: Hair removal cream

i use Nair for my uper lips....and then i put some lotion...i guess your skin is extra sensitive..so better u use any wax....

I've used Jolen in the past and it worked fine. Now I just thread.

Have you tried threading? With wax, the upper layer of the skin is removed which can irritate your skin and also makes ir more sensitive to the sun.

If not threading, you can try waxing.

You can also use a facial epilator......which is basically a machine that plucks hair from the roots (similar to waxing).

Another alternative is laser hair removal. It is painless. However it will take several treatments to see results. After the first few treatments, you'll notice that your hair growth becomes thinner/finer.

There is also a cream called Vaniqa which is used to prevent facial hair growth. Consult your dermatologist........the Dr. can recommend a variety of hair removal treatments best suited for your sensitive skin.

I would not recommend using depilatory creams like Nair on the face because they can possibly lead to discoloration or hyperpigmentation (dark patches) over time.

Re: Hair removal cream

JOlen is Blech cream..isn't it?

Re: Hair removal cream

^yes

Re: Hair removal cream

can we use hair removing cream on our face?

You mean like Nair?

I personally would not recommend it. Those creams.....over time.....can cause discoloration (darkening of skin). With Asian skin......using such creams.....leads to dark stained under arms.

At least your underarms are hidden. Why take such a risk with your noticeable area such as you face.
