Hair Removal Cream

My question is about hair removal cream, i don’t know which cream to use i used nair but it was too harsh for my skin. few days ago i used it and later it burned my skin so bad that i took a pain reliever.
Please advice me about this and also give me any tips.

Thank you

Re: Hair Removal Cream

Think of it as this

If the cream is so harsh that its capable of burning your hair, what is it capable of doing to your delicate skin.

Dont use Hair removal creams at all, they arent good for yoru skin.

Re: Hair Removal Cream

use wax,,,,,its the best option,,trust me.

Re: Hair Removal Cream

yup.. use wax...
with emergency use veet - hair removal cream

Re: Hair Removal Cream

I used to use hair removal cream a lot, as I have a medical condition which means that I have more hair growth on my face......I noticed my skin was really horrible and I ended up having to use it every other day because of stubble.

Now I just ise tweezers.....basically when I stopped the hair removal cream just waited a few days for the hair to be long enough...then sat and plucked all the hair out now I have to do it every week or less!

Don't use Nair too much - it's very bad for your skin.
Also, if you are in the UK there is a hair minimising cream that you can buy which contains fruit enzymes...........you can buy in Superdrug and Boots
Good Luck!

Re: Hair Removal Cream

^ threading is good too...i get mine done every 6-8 weeks

Re: Hair Removal Cream

in an emeergency shave :p
I hate those remover cremes, they stink!!! Go for wax for the body, an dthreading on hte face. :)

Re: Hair Removal Cream

what kind of wax do u guys use, how can we do the waxint i am in USA and it is every expensive to get it done, so i have to do it my self i tried it few times, but doesn't really work if i am doing my own arms.
so please let me know if u have suggestion, and btw, wax is good but for "some" hair u have to use the cream so which cream is better?
i also hate shaving it give me in-grown hair and rash even cuts some times

Re: Hair Removal Cream

You could try COLD WAX - which is strips with pre applied wax, all you have to do is warm the strips between your fingers and apply.

Also there is warm wax, where you heat the wax and then apply the liquidy mixture...I find that this is VERY fiddly.

On my arms and legs, I just use a good women's razor, preferablt one with a lubricating strip. Use eithermens shaving foam (as it's extra sensitive as it's designed for the face!) or a tip I learnt a few years ago, is that for suuuuper smooth legs and arms, use hair conditioner as the shaving cream.

A lot of desi's that I know in the UK also do sugaring.....although I have never tried that myself!

Re: Hair Removal Cream

nair is the most horrible product out there plus it stinks like hell and same goes for veet.
it burns your skin right off.
wax cant be that spensive? desis usually do it for cheap.

Re: Hair Removal Cream

Have you tried going to a desi salon? I know the non-desi salons charge A LOT for waxing, but desi salons are much cheaper. It should be around $15-$18 for full arms (both of them included in this price) at a desi place.

not really..depends on the area, so far, most of the places i go to charge btwn $20 and 30 for full arms..

Re: Hair Removal Cream

Louis Marcel...its cool :)

Re: Hair Removal Cream

laser hair removal is good, bt i heard that if u have darker skin it can cause pigmentation. also it doesn't completely free u from the need to remove unwanted hair it just cuts down on the amount of growth and thins the hair so u have to remove less often, but is pretty expensive.

Re: Hair Removal Cream

i can't wax/shave in every place:( i have to use a cream, i am fine with using wax on my arms and legs but...some hair need cream

Re: Hair Removal Cream

i dont like creams:(

go with wax or threading or smthn

Re: Hair Removal Cream

if u wana remove hair of any part of ur body than waxing would be better
creams are fine for public hairs only
and u can also use some hair removing shavers

Re: Hair Removal Cream

I got a Gigi Wax warmer and you can get wax refills.

I also use an epilator.

Both options are far better than shaving and using hair-removal creams.

Mahanoor: Don't most of those creams indicate that you should not use them for pubic hair and other sensitive areas?

Re: Hair Removal Cream

i think its best to not wax/ thread your arms ...legs i can understand. but i think the more u remove hair the thicker it comes out. if u leaveit alone, believe me u cant even tell its there, its so light..but if u mess around with it, it will come out thick and icky to touch...and u will have to remove it.

for legs...i shave....usually, and i hate it in the winter...i want to go get that thing ...my cousins had in the Uk i have not found it here, its silkpill..i think it this little gadet..that u rub against the hiar and it pulls it right out. i tried waxing and it doesnt work, b/c the hair is so thick

as for face...i say leave alone as much as possible...if u do have anything that simple blea h can not take care of...get it permanently removed. my cousin in UK owns a lazor or something removal place..its not lazer actually she says lazer maybe bad b/c u can end up with hair in other places. i also recommend u see a doctor have them prescribe u something, i saw this add for i think its called vaiquin...

the only place u should be tweezing/ waxing or threadig should be your eyebrows...if u are doing other places...u are def. going to screw your face up my friend started shaving her chin ...she had such a horrible problem after. seriously if its anything that bleaching every now and then cant handle....get it done permanently ...u save money in the long run anway!

Re: Hair Removal Cream

It’s called an epilator – Braun’s is called Silk Epil. That’s the one I have and I love it. You can get it for about $50.
