Hair oil

I finally got the time to write down the oil my Dadi makes, I rcv’ed a lot of PM’s asking for it.

200 ml coconut oil
100 ml olive oil
100 ml almond oil
50 ml mustard oil
50 ml kalonji oil
50 ml corriander oil
25 ml amla oil

You mix all of the above oils and add to it 2 tablespoon of mustard seeds and heat the oil till it’s very hot. Strain it and put it in a bottle and use after a week.

Cheers hun! :D

I'll definitely start this...I'm using olive oil on its own atm and although it conditions the hair I think I could do with a better oil treatment.

How often do you apply yours and what difference do you notice?

Thanks Gina hun for this!

I have been using a hair oil with cactus in it, and apparently it is good for your hair!

You have said to use the oil after one week, why is that? And, also, you massage it in, or just apply it?

You massage this into your roots, I have no clue why she asked to use it after a week :(

I've been using this oil for the longest time ever, and Alhamdulilah even after changing my hair color every week..sometimes within days of each other. Bleaching, back-combing, blow-drying.. my hair isn't damaged and pretty thick.

I use it 2 times a week..

It might be so that the oils can steep in the seeds. Mustard seeds are "garam"....so maybe the seeds are supposed to lend their "garam effect" to the oil.

corriander oil? in urdu language what meaning of corriander?

Re: Hair oil

Dear Gina! at first i wanna thanks for the best tip for hair..........Dear Gine after massag when i wash hairs?

Gina, can you find coriander oil in the Gulf ...if so what is commonly known as ....

I've always bought it at places where we buy nuts, saffron and spices from. In Urdu it's called 'dhania ka tel'. Wash your hair after an hour, keep it longer it's upto you.

Re: Hair oil

cooooooooooooooooool … thank you so much :hugz: though i was expecting you will courier a bottle to me as my brithday gift :frowning:

now i need to look for dhania ka teil.

LOL @ your expectations! Look for it in spice shops..

sounds good

Re: Hair oil

is kalongi oil ok for pregnant women..i read it may not be..but im assuming maybe for internal use its not?

AND how long do you leave in hair for before washing?

gina...jazak Allah:)

please tell me would it make hair grow on both bald and not bald -headed people??

bcz i have heard that castor oil promotes hair growth..it doesn't have castor oil so i was just wondering??

I'm always in a rush, I wash it off within an hour.
