I got my hair done today and started wondering about how often others go to the salon and approximately how much they spend.
How often do you go to the hair salon?
What do you get done? Cut only? Full head color? Partial or full highlights?

Every six months or so for cutting/trimming (I am just lazy)

Does shampoo count? Thankfully I don't need to spend any thing extra for maintaining my hair. They are quite good as it is.

1) i would like to go every 2-3 months- that's what i try for, but it usually ends up being longer

Usually about every 4-6 months. I have side bangs so whenever those grow out, I make my trip to the salon.

Cut only - never done colour.

Just $20! Even though its inexpensive they do a great job.

I get my hair cut in a salon between every 4-6months. Not very often. I get an urge to trim my hair or restyle my fringe/ front hair more frequently so get the scissors out myself roughly every 2-3 months.
Hair is just a trim usually and defining layers. I usual colour at home every few months. I've never had any probs tbh. Had it coloured at salon in Sept and not only was the colour rubbish it took almost 7 hrs start to finish. It was painfully long. So colour at salon not very often.
Home hair colour cost- roughly £10 at salon think it was £50. Cut is about £30-£40 but varies.

I get it cut every 3 months.. but i think i won't be cutting for a long time now, cos hubby doesnt like me cutting my hair
Always get it shampoo'd, cut and styled
Cost around $80 Australian.
But since he doesn't like me cutting my hair anymore, i'll get it colored or get a keratin treatment for a diff look

I try to get my color atleast once or twice a year - i've tried doing it at home, but my hair is so dark that i usually ave to use a couple of different boxes, and it ends up costing me just as much as getting it done professionally. And the professional color hasn't damaged my hair, mA!
It costs about $80
Also because i wear hijab, in the community I live, most weddings have women and men completely separate, and sometimes there might be ladies only parties, so we take these opportunities to get our hair styled, happens maybe 3-4 times a year, and spend about $25

I get a cut twice a year, spend rs. 1500 (15 usd approx) for shampoo with cut and styling.
Occasionally I get a trim, spend much lesser than that.
4-5 times a year I'll get my hair styled for a close wedding or special occasion, spend around rs. 600 on that!

I used to go to the salon every 2 months to get my hair thinned out, and every 6 months I'd get layers put in, or tidied up and ends trimmed. Now I thin my hair out myself with thinning scissors, so only go to the salon every 5-6 months. Costs arfound £30-£35.
