Virtaully every english (western) medicene out there have MAJOR side-effects. They are NOT worth taking. Most of them are STEROIDS anyway.
Steroids is a medicine which increases certain targetted harmons in your body to gain an effect (less pain, strong muscle, more hair etc). But once you leave it - ur body will have quite have negative effect (as it stop/reduces making those harmons..or somefin). This is apart from major side-effects of medicine you will have (such as can't have babies).
Rogaine (the one you put externally on the hair) is "considered" to be an exception, because you are not inhaling anything. Think of it as less harmful.
Cheaper in States than in Canada.
Herbal medicines: Generally the best way to go. Doesn't work that well, doesn't work for everyone. Relatively no side effects.
