hair hmmm...

ok..well heres the situation… I like my hair..there just a hint of white from the side… but I’m 25 years old…so most people think its weired.. I was cool with it..until… I went to a wedding and some girl..well woman… saw me and her mother came to my home a couple days later talking to my mom… rishta wishta… now the freaky part was..that chick was 32 years old… now I’m having what should have been a midlife crisis at 25… so question.. any guppies here used hair color..and is it weired for a guy to color his hair?..

Get over it yaar. I myself like some gray hair in fact I have always dreamed of gray sideburns in my late 30s. I hope I’ll get it

and if you HAVE TO HAVE TO color it, seriously use Mehndi

Re: hair hmmm...

guys who color hair are kinda gayish

Re: hair hmmm…

See now I was all ready to go ahead and buy light brown color…now u’ve made me think twice…

I think I will “borrow” some of my mom’s mehndi and put it on… is it the same one that that girls put on there hands..or different…

Re: hair hmmm...

It's not odd to start having grey hair in your twenties. I have a Phupo who started going grey around 18. I think it's a good idea to color and not with mehndi because it'll just give you odd reddish strands in your hair. Buy a box of Feria (for men) and find a natural tone that's close to your own hair color. It will add shine to your hair as well. You may have to keep up with it every 6-8 weeks depending on how your hair grows and how much grey you have. But then again George Clooney looks very distinguished with greys, so don't let anyone bother you about it.

Re: hair hmmm…

Depends on what sort of color you go for.

I dont think its Gay for men to take care of themselves and pay attention to personal groomings.

If it was a chick we’d not think twice bout her dying her hair to hide the white hair, however a guy wanting to do the same thing makes him Gay?

Why? Apart from physical differences I dont think there is any difference between a guy and a girl wanting to look good.

If wearing good clothes and doing ones makeup is supposed to give a girl Self confidence as stated all the time
Why cant a poor guy dye his hair to make him feel good

Badshah my advice, dont do it yourself.
consult a hairdresser and express why you wanto dye your hair and they’ll do a good job on it.

Re: hair hmmm...

but they have black henna as well...at least the body art quality
it would leave ur hair really soft and if ur hair is curly it will make it less frizzy
but if he doesnt want his hair red...or black...regular hair dye may be okay...

i think you should dye it...because if i saw a guy with gray i would probably think he is older than what he is...and just assume he looks young for his age

Re: hair hmmm...

go for the color man... as long as it looks natural..... go for it...

n good luck in ur rista....:)

Re: hair hmmm...

keep it natural

thas it

Re: hair hmmm...

There's nothin' wrong with colorin' ur hair. However, if u r apprehensive of using all those chemical laden commercial dyes or if the traditional henna colors (black and brown) don't appeal to u, there is this one company called 'LUSH Cosmetics' that carries henna in several different shades. Checkout there website at lush(dot)com (I know I could've just typed '.' instead of '(dot)', but apparently I need to have 25 posts before I can post urls)

I just hit upon their website while browsing and have never tried their henna but it says they use natural ingredients for their cosmetics, sounds promising to moi.

Re: hair hmmm...

do NOT use mehndi, for the love of god, ull have orange sideburns going on/red/an obvious colour - when the point is that u want to look younger etc..try black. Something that goes with ur natural tones.

Re: hair hmmm…

Kala Kola :hehe:

Re: hair hmmm…

OMG another Lush Fan :bobo:

Lush is awesome, their hennas and face masks are made fresh daily and have natural ingredients.

Like how cool it is to use a face mask with fresh rose petals in it
Or dip into a bath with the most sensual smells using their bathbombs.

Re: hair hmmm…

Nohting wrong wiht a guy lookin after himself, but i think some things, guys shud not do–like full body waxing, color contacts and makeup :smack: But hey bhadsha, if the greys really bother u, then use hair color the same as ur natural color

Re: hair hmmm…

LB, I have yet to try their products but the way they describe 'em sounds so ‘devilicious’, will check out their store sometime :bobo:

Re: hair hmmm...

WEll guyz I went down to the shoppers drug mart..picked up this really neat looking hair color... it was a little brownish reddish..put it on...kinda excited.... made sure all doors are locked no one gets in to see... took a shower after 30 mins... HOLLY MOLLY>>> WHAT THE HELL>>>> I HAVE BRIGHT RED SIDE BURNS>>> back of my head.. the botton half where it was a little grey..its reddish orange tooo!!!. I can't belive it.. I should have left it... any one know how I can get back to normal..and fix this... I look like one of those maulvies who dye there beards red..... :-( I miss my white hair...

But then I made it even worse.... I had go out with some of my friends I couldn't go like this... put some well..hmmm.... shoe polish on... now my head smells...I have a huge headache been in the shower for the past hour...and finally got the stink out... my hair coloring days are over... never again... :-(

:hugz:

Told ya not to do it yourself.

Re: hair hmmm...

hahaha. I love it when guys have a few grey hair, I think most females do. Age gracefully and don;t worry about them unless u have twice the grey hair than u do ur own colour.

Re: hair hmmm…

yaaaar..aik toh tum log bhi itni simple cheezon ko itna difficult bana detay ho. the undertnes are showing because you used too light a shade on hair that were grey..

I used to color my hair back in undergrad years. I had a whole punk look for my music band..red, blue, silver…not the best stuf cuz first it would bleach yer hair and then dye it, so now when you want to color it back to brown-black since eventually you have to go home and see your parents or go to relatives home for thanksgiving, you need to look ‘shareef’ … I used to get off the counter air color and use it.

The fact that I learnt was that for the hair that I had dyed silver, the color would always come out with the undertones, i.e. the air that was dyed red would look darker than the hair that was dyed silver,a nd I would have to use the brown-black har dye multiple times or leave it on for longer.

so here is my suggestion, go get a good hair color, go as dark as possible because inadvertently because you are dying lighter coloured hair..it will not turn out as dark, now u dont want to be in a situation where your graying hair are darker than the rest of your head cuz u will look like a freak, so put the hair color on your whole head. and let it sit for a good 30 minutes.

wash it off and chill. tis not a big deal, and welcome to the normal world from teh freaky world of orange hair and shoe polish..
