hair growing

hi guys can any 1 help me abt this my friend is having hair growing problem on her chin she has to remove them daily, and her chin is lookin black now due to hair grow she cant afford laser treatment can any 1 know any desi totka aur medicine may be any thing will help.thx

Re: hair growing

She might have PCOS, she should see a doc for treatment. Laser can be a little expensive but is worth the money. Otherwise she should do threading everyday. But yeah ask her to go and see a doc, she needs to be treated for hormonal imbalance.

Also she should change her diet to more organic food especiallly the dairy products...

Re: hair growing

Yup! Thyroid issues..

Re: hair growing

i think laser is the most reliable now adys watever the reason is for dat.

Re: hair growing

guysss her thyroid tests reports r clear she is taking some homeopathic medicines but no result till yet ,how much laser will cost and is it for life time or after sometime hair will grow again

Re: hair growing

It is not thyroid. It has to do with the imbalance of androgens which are male hormones; imbalance of them in a female can cause infertility, excessive hair growth in undesired areas, cyst in ovaries, acne, weight gain, excessive mood swings, irregular cycle, and many other things. She should see a gynecologist or some endocrinologist for proper treatment. Please don't be scared with the name of gynecologist, I know many desi ppl think going to gynecologist before marriage is like committing a sin.
I am not sure what is your location but for laser in USA they charge like $150-$200 per sitting on average. Again you just have to check with the centers close to you for exact rates. You have to visit them every 6-8 weeks. I think you have to go for at least 7-8 sittings. Some places do a combination of laser and electrolysis which i think is more effective. They start off with laser and switch on electrolysis when hair gets extremely thin and the growth slows down. Yes, mostly it is for long term

Re: hair growing

thx lusi i thank u all for giving some nice advice hope something will work out.

Re: hair growing

Lusi, even if u have thyroid problems u get thick coarse hair under the chin area..

Re: hair growing

Gina, you are right but she said her friend's thyroid tests are clear.

Anyway, I seriously think her friend should consult a doctor and get proper treatment instead of seeking homeopathic treatment or looking for short term alternative.

Re: hair growing

Oh missed that bit..yeah she shud def have everything ruled-out first n then opt for laser and tweezing! Hormones do play havoc..but it's treatable Marwa..

Re: hair growing

thx gina n lusi ,i told my friend abt all the discusion she is hesitant to go to a lady doctor, now im thinking of to talk to her mother directly.one thing more is there any cream or ointment to do something abt it or no?

Re: hair growing

No, there isn't really any ointment or cream that can help. Yeah you should talk to her mom, these things if ignored can cause lot of problems.

salaam all im new to this so plz excuse me if i dont sound lyk im all der:smack:

is there anything you can use for the daag the dark shades thta appers on your face after waxing or threading???

ive heard patkari is very good but does it actually work??

thnx all
w-salaam

The dark patches on the skin are caused due to skin suffering from trauma, just like the tan look skin gets after being in the sun for too long.

Trauma can be caused by anything ranging from overplucking to waxing and threading.

Unfortunately there is no cure for it.
