I have been wanting to try out extensions from a long time but couldn’t really find any good ones here in Pakistan. Now that I can get them through someone from the US, I started searching around and bellami hair extensions seem to be the rave these days over youtube but they are pretty much out of my budget(will cost me at least $110). Any companies you guys have tried? Or vendors over ebay etc? Thanks a lot!
Re: Hair Extensions
Are you more interested in the single head pieces or multiple wefts? And how frequently will you be using them? I have tried a few brands luxy hair (I believe it is a Canadian Company), head Kandy(UK) and my recent piece was from Sabs (Karachi). Multiple ones cost a little more then the single pieces.
LuxyHair very soft and is suitable for fine and lustrous hair. I have natural loose curls, so at times trying to get them styled was a hassle for me but the hair worked perfectly whenever I wanted a straight look.
HeadKandy - a bit thick in texture and are easy to style. I like how it no as thin as the luxyhair. The downside was the texture got kinda coarse within 3-4 months.
Sabs - I LOVE IT! I used it for 5-6 months and are still good as new.
I, basically had them for volume. Well, with a bob now, had to ditch the extensions. But the ones that I had lasted me from 6-10 months. So, if you are planning on using them frequently, invest in a decent set.

P.S: and yeah, you can easily have the above mentioned brands colored as well. And also whichever one you go for, make sure that it is heat friendly and remy.
Re: Hair Extensions
Thanks so much for such a detailed reply! I don't plan on using them everyday - will be using them once a week at max and I will be using heat on them. I want the multiple wefts one. Can you tell me how much the Sabs Extensions cost? I have read reviews on Luxy Hair too but some people wrote they start shedding and are very light. I want ones I can style easily and aren't really coarse?
Re: Hair Extensions
Bombay Hair is pretty good, I know a lot of people who have tried those and given really good reviews. They are the multiple weft ones, can be colored, heat styled etc, but they are kInd of pricy I believe, about $225

Sabs was 40K PKR after this promotion - it was either 10% or 20% during Eid. Also, the 40K was with color, and the cut. If you ask them, they will customize the pieces for you as well. Since, their extensions come in twos (for the crown). I kept one and had the other one split in two for the front.
Length: Mid-waist
My price bargaining skills are zero sigh - but if you negotiate they will surely cut you a deal.
Re: Hair Extensions
Why don't more people just buy the hair and sew in the clips themselves?
I invested in ready-made extensions just once. After that I simply started buying the hair and sewing in the clips in the exact configurations that I wanted to suit the particular style and length.
The savings are tremendous and the effort quite little.
I have the Bombay hair and I loved them.
Muzna, that's a really good idea. Will YouTube it just to see how to sew it in
Re: Hair Extensions
Luxy Hair, Bellami Hair, Bombay Hair all have nearly the same prices for the same length/weight. I am guessing their quality will be the same too. Moodie Foodie, can I know how long your extensions have lasted? People say they start falling apart and the texture gets ruined in about 6 months. Also, you think the 160g ones will give me a decent length and volume?
PinkPearls N Ponies you should have bargained!! Pakistan mein toh it’s the first thing you do after you are quoted. Lol. Allenora here quoted me 23k for extensions. $400 for a set is reallyyyy expensive for extensions. Don’t go to them again ![]()
Re: Hair Extensions
:$ :( - You have no idea how terrible i am with the bargaining bit sighhh
But yeah, never again :p

I was advised to do this when I went to a beauty supply shop and asked for a length that they didn't have.
They had the hair and the guy asked me why I don't just sew the clips in myself. He told me to Youtube the instructions if I had never done it before. That's exactly what I did. I've probably saved over $1000 by now considering how many different sets of extensions I have now.
Re: Hair Extensions
Wish they had these many stores in Pakistan. So hard to find things here :(

Which store was it? We have a few Asian stores here and Sallys - the associates there are of zero help!!!! HMPH
Is there a specific brand that you use?
I think, I wanna do front fringes!!!!!
