Hair dryer?

I don’t use hair dryer usually, but have to go on a trip and air drying won’t be possible.
Please suggest good brands (not overly expensive though) for it, something you have tried and tested.

I have one right now which I kept for emergency purposes but its so pathetic, causes immense frizz even after using heat protectant/anti frizz.

Re: Hair dryer?

if u have a tkmax near you they have all the brands like ,toni and guy for around £25-30...i bought mine from there

Re: Hair dryer?

^hey thanks. I'm in Canada, I don't think we have it here....... I was looking for some reliable brand as there are too many to choose from.

Re: Hair dryer?

The babyliss nano hair dryer is awesome and cheap, especially good for travelling coz it's tiny.

Re: Hair dryer?

I have been looking for a smaller one for traveling as well. My friend told me about a portable hair dryer from Sephora collection at sephora, it's around $40 but it gets the job done...I still have yet to see it before I order it.
but what I really want is the Moroccan oil hair dryer, apparently it offers less drying time and more softer hair...but it's way pricier than most dryers....eeekk!!

Re: Hair dryer?

I can't remember the brand but I have a tiny dryer that I use for travelling. I'll check the name and post it. It even has dual-voltage.

It actually gives me the same results as the professional dryer that I invested in several years ago. And I'm sure that it didn't cost me a lot cuz it was purchased as a convenience. (Mind you it was purchased at 6 years ago.)

Re: Hair dryer?

I had one from Conair bought it in 2006, it was amazing.....sadly right now I left it in another state though so I haven't used it in a while.

Re: Hair dryer?

Gonna post again. The Babyliss Nano is £10-£15 and is super powerful. I bought it for travelling but use it all the time now.

Re: Hair dryer?

^ It's only 1200W right, stoppit? I'm pretty sure a power speed of 2000W+ gives the best results.

Re: Hair dryer?

It's a travel hair dryer and the OP is traveling. I didn't compare it to a pro type dryer. It's cheap, effective and tiny, weighs a few hundred grams and is multi voltage. The airflow is stronger than other similar wattage dryers.

I've blowdried well with it but it doesn't even seem that the OP wants to do that... as she said air drying won't be poss and she usually only has one for emergency purposes.

Re: Hair dryer?

Thank you ladies for the ideas! Yes dual voltage is very convenient while travelling. Will look into the brands mentioned.

Re: Hair dryer?

Will wait for the name Muzna!

Yes Sara, have seen quite a few Conair ones but wasn't sure if they are good enough. Good to hear your experience with them.

Stoppit, like you said its powerful enough, hopefully it would help straighten the hair while drying (I guess that's what people usually do but its something new for me haha. Got it done at salon and it gave much better results; as in natural compared to drying them naturally and then using a straightener).
