hair cut style help

HI,
I always have my haircut in a slight u shape with a couple of long bangs. I am tired of my look and want something modern and stylish. I have very long hair down to my hips and want to get a hair cut.
I still want my hair to be long (maybe mid-back length) but I want some style to it as well. Also, I usually have my hair in a ponytail, so what haircut will make my hair look nice in a ponytail.. I am also thinking of side swept bangs..
Can you guys please suggest styles or post pics for some nice cuts. Searching for pictures is so overwhelming because I dont know what I am looking for.

if u have long haie have a v cut frm the bak n a side fringe

thanks for everyone's input.. i really like the side swept bangs picture.. i can get a diff style without cutting everything short..I might take the picture to the stylist..

does any one else have pictures or ideas??
