is it worth it?
A lil over 2 years ago i got highlights, and now they just wont grow out! no matter how many haircuts i’ve gotten since then (5), the ends are still light brown! I’m so sick of the color, but I don’t know, i dont want to damage my hair..again..the last job + all the blow drying, styling and straightening has just killed my strands (IMO)!

Dye u're hair u're natural color a couple of times till the color penetrates the hair-shaft and looks neutral then try highlights or lowlights =)

since u r dyeing your hair in darker color, it would be ammonia free so it wont.Try some gloss ones ...they do make the hair shinier

sara..just do an all over color (on the darker side though) your hair will look a lot healthier.....i myself was in a similar situation..its so hard to keep doing the highlights....and they look awful if they arnt kept up with....so i just did a burgundy all over color...phew...looks better now.... :)

Actually i did do them a darker color right before the wedding..but as soon as the wedding night i saw highlights on teh bottom of my hair!!! 
its crazy, i been getting so many cuts no matter how much i cut off i still c color..i just want my natural color back.

yeah...after a while..you can start seeing the dyed hair at the bottom... :(
well...then just have the bottom part dyed :) it wont look two toned..i need to get mine done soon... :) i thought about cutting it...but it took me sooo long to get the length i have now...

lol it took me almost 2yrs to get rid of those bleach blonde hairs. After that I decided not to get highlighs again, it is just too much work... Now I want to die my whole head in a different color. My natural hair color is jet black. Do I need to bleach them before dying into another color? If it requires bleaching then i am not doing it...lol

depends on wht color u want..if u want blonde..golden color..then yeah i guess u gone be using bleach..but if u just want something brown..red..brownish red color then u can just buy one of those hair color thingys from cvs..or whtever..and tht shld work..

Um from what i remember when i got my highlights, they wud use bleach, but depending on how light u want the color, they'll keep it on fro tht amt of time...

^ yeah thts called striping ur hair..and its just because us desis have naturally dark hair..so in order to get tht golden..blonde look..they have to get rid of the natural black color first...and its permanent..it doesnt fade away..and tht is why ur ends are still light brown..
