This is my current hair color:
I want to go dark and different, something having tones of mahogany shade. This is what i have in my mind:

What do you guys think?I have never dyed my hair before, highlights yes but never changed it completely. But i am willing to take the risk now. 
Also i plan to do it myself. Any tips are welcome!

Hey there,
If you are planning to colour your hair yourself my advise would be to get a helpful hand (ie, a good friend) who can thoroughly colour all the hair at the hard-to-reach places at the back.
Also, since you're going dark (or the same shade as your natural hair) without using bleach I would recommend choosing the same colour family but a lighter shade. That's what I do & I always get the desired shade. On the other hand if you still have your previous highlights, the colour you have chosen should do just fine! Good luck :)

It's a pretty shade, but I don't think it's much different from your current hair color. IF you're looking for a small/light/subtle change...then go for it.
You have a cute haircut/style.....and I think that a reddish-brown color would look lovely on you as well. Maybe one of the Loreal Feria Power Reds.
