I was just wondering what are some of the things you girls do to make your hair look nice? Has anyone tried egg with massage oil in their hair?
Re: Hair Care
err no, and don't plan to either
Re: Hair Care
Deep conditioning treatments - sometimes with oil.
Taking kelp tablets.
Thinking of getting hair extensions in the near future.....my hair's not growing fast enough for my liking.
Re: Hair Care

Re: Hair Care
every weekend i used to massage warm coconut oil or almond oil into my hair and wrap it in a hot towel, now i cant be bothered. But it makes ur hair nice n strong
what are kelp tablets?
Re: Hair Care
I heard yoghurt and egg mixture for a few hours b4 shampooing is good.
Re: Hair Care
yogurt is a good conditioner... if u dont mind smellin like vanilla (i used to get the vanilla hint yogurt)
it leave ur hair really soft
Re: Hair Care
Kelp tablets are natural supplements that help promote hair growth.
Re: Hair Care
Shahreen, do you live at the health store?
Re: Hair Care
I don't do anything special. Yes, i have tried egg and oil..but i have tried egg, oil, henna and lemon juice combination. I have tried hot oils from VO5 and so far they were the easiest thing to do. My hairs did felt a bit silkier afterwards.
As far as supplements goes..if you are taking multivitamin and minerals..that contain B complex, vitamin E and folic acid..it should promote a healthy hair growth.
Re: Hair Care
One thing to remember if you're using egg on your hair is to rinse it out using tepid water....unless you want to spend the rest of the week picking scrambled egg out of your hair.
Re: Hair Care
I actually tried the egg and oil thing today. I kept it on for 2 hours and during the time it stiffened my hair. And it was hard to wash because my hair is long. But it did make it shiny. But ya my hair was hard to wash I used shampoo twice.
Thanks for all your replies.
Has anyone used rosewater? Or is that more for facials? I bought it but I don't know what to mix it with and what it does....anyone know?
Re: Hair Care
If you want egg treatment there is an egg shampoo called SUNSILK. It really conditions your hair and smells good too.. I used to use it for quite a while, by the way I used to get it from Dubai.. I am not sure if they carry it here.
Re: Hair Care

Re: Hair Care
do they sell SUNSILK in America...I have heard of the product, but forgot where I saw it...whether it was in Pakistan or in America.
Re: Hair Care
I’ve really dry hair
i use Jasmine oil for my hair. I’ve also thin hair is there something do about it? I use to take vitamine tablets coz i’ve thin hair but i hate it
to take tablets.
Re: Hair Care
im not sure about a quick solution but ull see the effects if u start eating eggs for breakie, i read 4 eggs a week are enough
but i dont think u can actaully increase the amount of hair follicles on ur head coz we're predisposed to have a certain number
all u can do is make the existing ones thicker and try volumusing shampoos and products
Re: Hair Care
I usually go with Pantene for the wash and condition (nothing fancy) and then use a product called Got 2 be glossy. The reason I like it so much is I have fine hair and when I use an oil-based product, it makes it stringy. This is actually made with a silicone based. Makes my hair smooth, shiny, and gives it weight so it doesn't frizz as much. I have long hair and all I need is a drop or two and it goes through my whole head. So even though a bottle costs about $8, one bottle has lasted about a year so far.
Re: Hair Care
ummz i usually leave oil in for about an hour (if im in a rush) before i wash it... or if its over the weekend, leave the oil in overnight.. it makes it really shiny and silky..
im gonna get the kelp tablets..
Re: Hair Care
home made hair mask: for deep conditioning
1 ripe banana
2tsp grapeseed oil
clingfilm
mash the banana, then mix the oil to make a thick paste. massage into hair and scalp, cover hair in clingfilm and leave for 30 mins. wash out using a mild shampoo
if someone wants to try the hair mask, let me know the results! thanx
