i need a good serum or whatever to use after straightenin my hair.. i do it once in a blue moon but still.. what is it.. thermal protection or whatever…
i need a good one. tried and tested.. no salon names tho.. like paul mitchell etc.. i havta be able to find it in the dept store
I use Biosilk Silk Therapy, it smells so good, you use one drop of it so a bottle will last you more than a year. I use it because I live in a uber warm climate and so this stuff protects my hair from UV damage and from straightening. You can order it online.
I used to use all that straightening stuff until I got my straightening iron. Now all I do is use Volumising Mousse, straightening iron and voila - pin straight hair. And believe me, I have naturally curly/frizzy hair.
serious ... I use the Connair ceramic straightening iron - it's amazing. The mousse I think its Wella Flex or something, but its volumising, because I have thin hair :(
Aveda. I cannit remember the name, but it's a protective spray thing, and it's wicked. I hardly ever use mine though, my hair straighten's perfectly and my hair natural is best described as fizz bomb!
What straighteners do you have? Also depends on the shampoo you use and if you condition your hair.
i have naturaly straight hair.. but sometimes i want that jap straight look so use the conair cermic straightner for that… wonderful results… and my hair arent frizzy so that isnt a prob… im just worried bout there being too much heat and it damagin my hair…
ofcourse no serum can protect hair from TOTAL damage.. but some help should be good…
keep em coming girlies…
p.s) Missy.. i use pantene and its conditioner. not the 2 in 1 tho.. its the best shampoo out there.. for me atleast…
i looked around the dept store… most of the serums or sprays were meant to be used on towel dried hair (a bit wet))… i dont want any of that.. i want it to be specifically used AFTER straightenin my hair…
i have such kinky hair...i hate it...but when i straighten it i use Inner Science spray on leave in conditioner...its amazing!! my hair turns so smooth, sleek and shiny....i love it!
I use Got2B’s glossy anti-frizz shine serum.. it can be used on wet hair (i use it if i dint put conditioner in) or on dry hair to control flyaways.. u only need a teeny tiny bit , i bought my bottle in October, and its nowhere near half finished..
Another thing I use, but im not quite sure of, is this Sleek.look iron smoother from matrix. (its a salon product).. its sposed to delive better results when u straighten ur hair, but i get the ssszzzzz sound when I put the iron on it.. i dunno maybe im using it wrongly..
i have curly and frizzy hair and what does wonderful job to straighten them is MAXI GLIDE iron. it has costed me $80 but worth every penny of it. I d o not have to use any chemical at all. I got it and HSN.com. good luck.
to make my hair shiny after ironing I loooooooove Avon's shine spray
and for protection from heat and avoid fly aways either silk therapy or matrix Sleek.look iron smoother
