I hope everyone knows what* haiku* is? 
A few of them which i enjoyed reading…
All along the shore
lonely pebbles lie…
to reach each other
Soft music at night
Your dark tresses imprison
Who wants freedom now?
the light of your face
that too has gone out, and now…
teasing languid moon!
White clouds of morning
floating happy,…soon like me,
they begin to weep…

Haiku is imported from Japan, where it is very common medium of expression. Am I right?

Thats the only thing I know abt Haiku that… its from JAPAN and.. its Short Form of Poetic exprssion .. thats it..

I would say you both know as much as i do :)
Though its a japanese way of poetry,I have read many Urdu poets experimenting with it.The most striking thing is that its a three liner and contains a world of expression in it!
I feel its more difficult to express in a concise form.But then its my opinion only which could be wrong :-)

Many Haikus were just translated from Japanese to Urdu and it was considered a fashion (new thing) to write Haikus as well, some years back.

I have Read very Few Haikus.. Just like the SONNETS … its Hard for me to Understand
I have to Read it so many times to Put it in the UNDERSATANDING area in my BRAIN
