My daughter was born early and weighed 3 pounds so she was low birth weight. Her dad and her dadi criticized her so much and passed remarks like “itni kamzor hai “ , “itnay patlay patlay hath hai”
“ yeh to bachay gi hi nahi “ “mera beta to isko dekh kar daar gaya kiyoon kay isnay aj tak aisa kamzor bacha nahi dekha “ “ humraya khandaan main to 10 pound kay bachay hotay hain “ . Her father always used the word for her kamzor as if she did not have a name and attributed everything to her weak body saying “itni kamzor jo hai “. They both touched her only once. I can go on and on. When the due date passed she started gaining weight . At 5-6 months of her age she was termed by dr as obese. Many a times when I went out with her strangers used to pass comments “kitni moti bachi hai “. Now at 1 years she is normal. Babies and toddlers gain weight and loose weight I don't know what is the big issue about it ? Weight is not a predictor of a good health. Pray and wish for good health rather than weight.
I know it really hurts when somebody says things like that for your child. But I have experienced that logon ki adat hoti hai baq baq karnay ki they do it just to make your feel bad and they even don't spare innocent kids .

If i had a dime for every time ppl tell me how kamzor my kid is, i would be a multi millionaire by now. At a wedding a few months ago, someone was really surprised to me and her and said, “yeh aapki beti hai? (really surprisingly) kitni kamzor hai”. I guess they thought since i am so sehat mand she would be too 
Anyhow, i think she is fine Alhamd, she is just a skinny and tall for her age (according to her doc). But the desi-ness in some people we know makes me feel like i dont feed her enough and they tell me i didnt teach her how to eat. Seriously?

Oh this goes on for adults too. My sister is constantly being told how skinny she is. On a recent trip to Pak, someone said to her, tum to shadi kay baad moti nahi hui. Sis goes, " main moti ho kar kia karoungi?". You should have seen the other person's face. They didnt know what else to say after that. And i am constantly hounded on how i have gained weight. Dunya kisi haal main khush nahi hai.

hmmm... realy worth thinking,, but u cant hold anyone's tongue(i wish i cud :P) bachy sb achy lagty hain no metter thy r bulky or skiny...
