I am wondering where are usually Red white and Blue pakistanis are like Med911 and Firz. They seem to have disappeared along with the notion of justice in the US.

Ghost they did use their full military potential. The US has always maintained it can fight two wars at once and frankly it has - that is why it did not take the lead in the NATO campaign in Libya. That is also why troops have done 4 or 5 tours of Afghanistan and Iraq. That is extremely high. They have over 100,000 troops in Afghanistan. They had as much if not more in Iraq. That does not include 100,000 of US contractors who are ex-army or ex-special forces.

You can bomb a people to the stone age but those people are not the ones you can use to build a government that supports you. Chalabi is an example. They didn’t bomb Iraq to the stone age out of the sympathy or good will. The decision was a political calculation.

What the hell do you think “winning the hearts and minds of the people” was for nearly 10 years? Bombing them to the stone age doesn’t leave hearts and minds alive to win over.

If you believe it was their great humanity that stopped them, I got a nice plot of land on mars i wanna sell you.

Don’t get your panties in a bunch. My point was that they can bomb the Afghans without ever having to set foot on their land, but they didn’t for a variety of reasons. “Winning the hearts and mind” is just propaganda to justify their illegal wars.

If America and its people suddenly decide that it’s in their best interest to annihilate the Afghans or the Iraqis, they could do significant damage. Their non-nuclear destructive technology is far beyond any other country’s. My point is that they are not fighting wars of annihilation, but rather wars for control of the region. rommel’s post suggest the former, and he/she seems to believe that countries like Turkey would stand a chance in such a war against America. This is why they sent troops in, rather than bombers. If they could do to the Japanese what they did in 1945, what do you think they’re capable of today?
