Ayesha (RA) or some of his wives said: Certainly we dislike death. He replies: That is not so; but when death comes to a believer, he is given good news of the pleasure of Allah and His gifts. There is then nothing dearer to him than what is before him. So he likes to meet Allah and Allah also likes to meet him. And an unbeliever-when death comes to him, he is given good news of the punishment of Allah and of His chastisement. And there is nothing more detestable to him than what lies in front of him. So he dislikes to meet Allah, and Allah also dislikes to meet him.” [1601]
